Opportunities to meet the needs of all students are provided by the organisation of classes into standard and advanced. In addition, specific literacy needs classes are organised in Years 7 - 10.
The faculty participates in and promotes a number of language and cultural activities.
These include:
- Debating and public speaking at the local and regional level.
- Performances in the Taree Eisteddfod.
- In/out of school attendance at drama performances.
- Participation in the UNSW Australasian Schools English Competition.
- Participation in various writing competitions, such as, SMH Young Writer of the Year, Dorothea Mackellar poetry competition.
