There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.

A year at our school

Our Chatham High Curriculum Extension (CHACE) class extends academic learning through hands-on and inspiring experiences. Students explore the ancient world in Dorrigo State Forest, visit Australia's only nuclear reactor, participate in local government processes, engage in author workshops, and even read with therapy dogs. These experiences ignite curiosity and help student develop confidence, critical thinking and a genuine love of learning.

The Talented Athlete Program (TAP) celebrates and nurtures students who excel in sport. through specialised coaching, academic monitoring and wellbeing support across Rugby League, Basketball and Soccer, we help young athletes balance their sporting aspirations with strong educational progress. From 2026, our partnership with the Newcastle Knights Pathways Academy will open even greater opportunities for development, scholarships and pathways into professional sport.

At the heart of our agriculture program is a strong connection to our rural community. Students gain hands-on experience with cattle, sheep and poultry, building practical skills and responsibility. This long standing strength of our school prepares students for future pathways in local industries and beyond.

For students in our Supported Learning programs, we provide inclusive and personalised pathways that build independence, confidence and readiness for life after school. Every student is supported to succeed academically, socially and emotionally, and to fell proud of their achievements.
